Property giant Megaworld Corp. continues to breathe new life into the City of Love as it transforms and revitalizes spaces into a modern, progressive growth center.
These spaces—which have been developed into prime residential enclaves, premium grade offices, exciting mall complex and lifestyle hubs located in a single masterplanned township known as the 72-ha Iloilo Business Park in Iloilo City—have fittingly become the new face of Iloilo.
ENHANCING LANDSCAPES
After all, Megaworld has not only enhanced the city landscape into something modern and refreshing, but has also elevated condo living for Ilonggos, bringing a taste of global sophistication to the local setting through exquisite architecture and contemporary designs.
Saint Honore, for instance, is a 10-story residential condominium that has upped the ante in condo living in Iloilo as it offers residents a modern French-inspired enclave, reminiscent of the beauty, romance and culture of Paris
“This is the standard that Megaworld is giving and offering Ilonggos when it comes to condo living. Saint Honore alone has a number of unique features including the open atrium garden, which we believe is the first of its kind in residential development in Iloilo, as well as the spa,” explained Jennifer Alvaro, senior assistant vice president of Megaworld Regional RFO.
“More notably, Saint Honore is part of Megaworld’s Iloilo Business Park, an award-winning masterplanned township that has a mall, hotels, grocery, banks, offices, and transport hub, among others. It is also currently the only residential property located within the 1.1-kilometer Festive Walk Parade, hailed as the longest dining strip in Visayas and Mindanao,” Alvaro added.
Mix of old and new
The striking and elegant facade of Saint Honore radiates a charming European vibe that Iloilo Business Park has been known for.
This exclusive mid-rise project was inspired by the classic designs of the shophouses, boutiques, museums and retail rows of the Rue Saint-Honore, a historical street in downtown Paris. From its architecture to its interiors and features, Megaworld’s Saint Honore aptly reflects the charm and beauty of Paris in a serene yet modern setting.
Floor-to-ceiling windows further emphasize the bright, airy space that welcomes residents at Saint Honore’s lobby area.
Its spacious lobby reception and lounge area, for example, tout a modern French design with its high ceiling, eclectic minimalist style that blends the old and new, and use of white and pastel colors with accents of gold. All these lend elegance and sophistication to a bright, airy space that welcomes residents to their beautiful home.
It’s worth noting that the main entrance of Saint Honore faces the road on the other side of Festive Walk Parade to ensure the privacy of residents.
Distinct amenities
Today, residents are already enjoying Saint Honore’s distinct amenities that include a landscaped atrium with trellised seating and garden nooks where you can get a dose of morning sunshine, catch up on your reading, or take a breath of fresh air. Also available are spa facilities, notably a first among all residential projects in Iloilo.
The pool deck gives residents a clear view of the night sky and a glimpse of the vibrant streetscape below.
Within easy reach are modern lifestyle comforts including swimming pools, jacuzzi, fitness gym and function rooms, as well as the Game Room, daycare and playground, which are located at the adjoining Saint Dominique.
Assuring the safety of residents are the CCTVs installed in select common areas, and the video-phone security system connecting the reception and security counter to all units.
“We have residents now enjoying all these amenities and features, and so far, we have received great positive feedback, especially about our lobby as it’s picturesque,” Alvaro said.
Saint Honore is also being managed by Asia Affinity Property Management, which provides premium, hotel-like services to this residential project.
Saint Honore, which is almost sold out, offered 323 units with cuts ranging from studio to executive two-bedroom. Most of the buyers and investors were from Iloilo, including newlyweds and young professionals. A big market were overseas Filipino workers, who have roots in Iloilo.
Dynamic vertical community
This early, Saint Honore is already shaping up to be a dynamic vertical community, rife with so many opportunities to lead a dynamic, sophisticated lifestyle.
Saint Honore, after all, is within Iloilo Business Park, which does not only enjoy the distinction of being Megaworld’s most successful township outside of Metro Manila, but has also earned prestigious accolades including “Best Township Development” from Asia Property Awards and the Philippines Property Awards by PropertyGuru in 2018, and “Best Mixed Use Development in VisMin” at the 2018 The Outlook Awards by Lamudi Philippines.
Megaworld has so far launched five residential condominiums with eight towers and 2,104 units. The township also has 13 office towers, offering close to 200,000 sqm of gross leasable area. Ten of the offices are operational, serving as headquarters of local and multinational companies, while three are under construction. Soon, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas will also open its regional headquarters in the township.
Residents will fall in love with the idea of having the Festive Walk Mall, office towers, a hotel, and two museums just a short walk away from where they are.
Residents of Saint Honore are within comfortable walking distance to three hotels that include Richmonde Hotel and Marriott Courtyard Hotel, as well as Belmont Hotel which is under construction. Nearby also are the 1.1-km long Festive Walk Mall and Parade; Casa de Emperador; Iloilo Convention Center, which has a capacity of 3,500 seats; Festive Walk Transport Hub; a McDonald’s store; and the Megaworld Iloilo Business Park Showroom.
A taste of Visayan culture is at hand with the Iloilo Museum of Contemporary Art (Ilomoca), the first contemporary art museum in Visayas and Mindanao, featuring artworks of both national artists and local Ilonggo artists.
A more recent addition to the township is the Brandy Museum, located at the ground floor of Casa Emperador. Opened in January 2022, the first ever brandy museum in the Philippines by Emperador Inc. celebrates the heritage of Spanish brandy in Iloilo City through wall displays, exhibits featuring artifacts such as brandy making tools, history of brands under Fundador, as well as videos showcasing Fundador vineyard and bodegas in Spain, among others. There’s also a cafe and a souvenir shop as well.
Aspirational address
It’s really unsurprising that the residential projects at Iloilo Business Park have become an aspirational address for many, evident in the growing demand and value appreciation of the properties here.
Since the launch of the first condominium tower in 2015, property prices have gone up by as much as 135 percent—from P188,000 per sqm to around P277,000 per sqm today.
And Saint Honore will be no different, for sure, as it is undoubtedly the new face of modern, elevated condo living in progressive Iloilo.
