Beyond building masterplanned communities, Sta. Lucia Land Inc. is also taking active steps and efforts to make meaningful contributions to nation-building.
Recently, the publicly listed arm of the Sta. Lucia Group donated P3 million to the provincial government of Pangasinan in a bid to further help the province accomplish its plans and goals.
The donation turnover, which took place at the Conrad Hotel last July 26, symbolizes the company's desire to work hand-in-hand with the communities where its projects are currently located. Sta. Lucia Land, through 1PLMC president Augustine Cayabyab Jr. and 1PLMC executive vice president Ellen Dimaculangan, handed the donation to Pangasinan Governor Ramon Guico III and Vice Governor Mark Lambino. The momentous event was witnessed by the Sanggunihan Panlalawigan members, provincial department heads, and other officers from the Sta. Lucia Group.
"This is our way of showing to the cities and towns where we are present that we value the relationship we hope to build with them. We've always believed that our task does not end in developing high-quality, masterplanned projects alone. We also want to become drivers of progress, ensuring that the surrounding communities will also benefit from our developments," said Sta. Lucia Land Inc. President Exequiel Robles.
"For us to truly achieve our goal of providing quality homes in thriving communities, we need to work hand-in-hand with the government and the local communities. And this donation is a good start. We, at Sta. Lucia Land, are always willing to extend a helping hand. When we go to a certain area, we make sure that we are well aware of the things that we can do to help spur economic activity and improve the lifestyles of the people," Mr. Robles added.
Sta. Lucia Land has long established its presence in the north, and is considered one of the biggest and most trusted national developers in the province of Pangasinan. With the goal to create communities that thrive and homes that are built to last, the company continues to search for opportunities that would allow it to further cement its foothold in the area.
Among the existing projects of Sta. Lucia Land in Pangasinan are the 60-ha Woodside Garden Village in Urdaneta, which offers 120-sqm lots and the charm of an elegant country lifestyle; Almeria Verde in Dagupan which—through its elegant homes, spacious lots by the river and scenic clubhouse—affords homeowners an idyllic suburban life; the Spanish-modern commercial and residential development that is Centro Verde in Bayambang, which provides the perfect setting for a serene lifestyle; and Sta. Monica Lake Residences in Manaoag, a masterplanned lakeside community that features well-thought-out amenities, among many others.
"Sta. Lucia Land is here in Pangasinan for the long haul and we are committed to bring and develop communities in the north that our homebuyers can truly be proud of. We will continue to work with the province and the local government to ensure that we help bring progress and improve our homeowners' way of life," Mr. Robles concluded.
